Haikus

Pain, fear, misery

    surround one with only a

    stuffed dog to cry on.

Time inches by me

    because sleep cannot find me,

    for I am troubled.

Meaningful words of

songs are heard by me alone.

    God, can he hear them?

There is nothing left.

Death is tempting to me but,

    someone will miss me.

Hearts pound rapidly

when the contact of our lips

    is finally made.

A battle with “them.”

My world has come to an end.

Tears slide down my nose.

How long can one watch

the test pattern?  Half hour?

I did.  Yawn.  Sleep.
