Snow

Snow is always so quiet when it falls,

It hits trees and bushes and garden walls.

It is so sad to watch a flake,

Fall down so lightly then dissolve in a lake.

If you ever look outside at twilight,

Then you’ll notice that snow is a lovely sight.

It falls so quietly on a blue background,

That you wonder how it got there without any sound.

Then comes a terrible blizzard.

And the wind outside is really blowing.

It piles up in drifts and blows off of cliffs,

while all of the time it’s still snowing.

Then after a while things quiet down,

And the warm sun comes out to stay.

But soon dark clouds appear and you know,

it’s to start snowing for another long day.
